Mountain View Hospital (MVH) is a dynamic physician owned hospital in the heart of Southeastern Idaho. MVH specializes in same-day surgery with 12 state-of-the-art operating rooms and a dedicated endoscopy suite. Their high-volume regional anesthesia program performs 250-300 nerve blocks per month, supporting diverse specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, OB/GYN, urology, and more. MVH also operates a Level II NICU, a full-spectrum rehabilitation program, and recently expanded their imaging and urology services with the opening of a new outpatient facility. As part of a growing network of over 40 clinics and urgent care centers, MVH is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across Southeastern Idaho.

MVH is seeking highly skilled and motivated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join their collaborative and growing anesthesia care team in Idaho Falls, Idaho. You will work in a collaborate anesthesia care team model with a team of 30 CRNAs and 4 Physician Anesthesiologists, delivering a full spectrum of anesthesia services.

Job Summary

Deliver high-quality anesthesia care in a collaborative team setting. Perform a wide range of anesthetic techniques including general, regional (spinals, epidurals, nerve blocks), MAC, and TIVA. Provide airway and ventilatory management, and monitor hemodynamic status throughout procedures. Respond to critical care needs, including line placement and emergency situations. Participate in team-based communication with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia colleagues.  

Call Requirements: One weekend per quarter and one week of evening/night backup call per quarter.

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted CRNA certification (NBCRNA). Eligible for Idaho APRN licensure. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. Experience or strong interest in regional anesthesia techniques. New graduates welcome to apply.

Compensation

Up to $300,000 annual base salary, based on experience. Sign-on bonus of $65,000, and up to $10,000 reimbursement for relocation expenses, with a three (3) year commitment. Open to immediate cap-exempt H-1B sponsorship, followed by Schedule A green card.

Job Duties

Clinical Services & Documentation

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and gather clinical information to support diagnosis and treatment planning under clinical supervision.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and updating individualized, person-centered treatment plans that meet Idaho Medicaid medical necessity criteria and include measurable goals, objectives, and interventions.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy services consistent with evidence-based and trauma-informed practices, including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and skill-building interventions.
• Complete progress notes, treatment plan reviews, discharge summaries, and clinical documentation in accordance with Idaho Medicaid requirements and agency timelines.
• Ensure documentation accurately reflects medical necessity, active treatment interventions, client progress, and treatment outcomes.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision and case consultation as required by state licensing regulations and agency policy.

Care Coordination & Compliance

• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and contribute to integrated care planning.
• Coordinate services with families, guardians, schools, case managers, medical providers, Medicaid partners, and community-based resources.
• Assist with admission assessments, level-of-care determinations, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
• Maintain compliance with Idaho Medicaid requirements, IDHW Behavioral Health rules (IDAPA), agency policies, and applicable accreditation standards.
• Support utilization review processes, authorization requests, continued-stay reviews, and other quality assurance activities.

Crisis Management & Milieu Support

• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation using approved trauma-informed techniques while prioritizing safety and stabilization.
• Assist in maintaining a structured therapeutic milieu that promotes emotional regulation, healthy relationships, accountability, and recovery.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral health emergencies and high-risk situations according to agency policy and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with residential staff to support treatment goals and reinforce therapeutic interventions throughout the client’s daily environment.

Professional Practice

• Adhere to NASW Code of Ethics, professional standards of practice, and HIPAA confidentiality requirements.
• Maintain current knowledge of Idaho Medicaid service requirements, behavioral health regulations, and evidence-based treatment practices.
• Participate in clinical supervision, continuing education, agency training, and professional development opportunities.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program development efforts.

Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university required.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Administering blood transfusions and infusions.
2. Monitoring patient’s vital signs.
3. Diagnosing the causes of sudden changes in patient conditions and giving urgent treatments when required.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs the perioperative nursing role to include preoperative assessment of the patient, nursing care plan formulation, operative care plan implementation, and postoperative evaluation of the patient’s response/outcome.
2. Assists in the setting up and performance of cases by opening of sterile pack, instruments, and supplies according to sterile technique.
3. Prepares each patient for surgery by: positioning the patient in the appropriate position, preparing the patient’s operative site, confirming the procedure and site according to the surgeon’s history and physical and operating room team, and helping move the patient to and from the operating table.
4. Keeps patients and their families informed about surgical procedures.
5. Responds to sudden changes in patients’ health and manages occasional emergencies.
6. Administers medication and uses medical equipment under the direction of the surgeon.
7. Assists anesthesia personnel with the intubation/extubation of patients, the monitoring of fluid volume balance, the administration of blood and blood products, and the thermoregulation of the patient.
8. Performs surgical counts (sponges, sharps, and instruments) and documents nursing care on legal records.
9. Assists in the clean up of the operating room following surgery, including proper disposal of used supplies and sharps.
10. Assumes responsibility for intra-operative patient safety related to positioning activities, the use of equipment, and the use of chemicals and solutions.
11. Acts as the nursing advocate for the patient, upholding the patient’s rights.
12. Monitors the patient’s level of consciousness, electrocardiogram, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation during local anesthetic procedures.
13. Performs infection control activities to include observation of the surgical tram during procedures, taking corrective actions as needed to maintain aseptic technique.
14. Provides a surgically clean environment for patient care and ensures the sterility of supplies and instrumentation used during operative procedures.
15. Is knowledgeable of policies and procedures of the department and facility.
16. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein, or as assigned by the Surgery Team Leader, OR Manager, and Director of Surgical Services.
